Sanusi Lamido Sanusi II is known for his diverse roles as a banker, political economist, academician, and spiritual leader. He served as the Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria before becoming the 14th Emir of Kano. With a focus on Islamic finance, he introduced Islamic banking to Nigeria’s banking sector and received prestigious awards for his contributions to the field. Sanusi II is currently pursuing a PhD in Islamic Law and has been awarded honorary doctorate degrees from several reputable universities. He has also been recognized globally, including being named one of the 100 most influential people in the world by TIME Magazine and receiving the Africa’s Person of the Year award from Forbes magazine. As an author, he has published numerous papers and recently released a compilation of his articles.
Abubakar Suleiman, fondly called Abu, is the Chief Executive Officer at Sterling Bank Plc and has carved a niche for himself in the fiercely competitive financial services landscape by providing innovative responses and solutions to complex problems. He started his career at MBC International Bank (now consolidated into First Bank Plc) before joining Citibank Nigeria two years later. Abu joined the turnaround team of Trust Bank of Africa Limited, which later consolidated into Sterling Bank Plc.
At Sterling Bank, he served in senior leadership roles that include Interim CEO of Equitorial Trust Bank Limited (ETB) and Integration Director (responsible for the integration of ETB into Sterling Bank), Chief Financial Officer and Executive Director before his appointment as Chief Executive Officer in April 2018. Abu holds a B.Sc. in Economics from the University of Abuja and an M.Sc. in Major Programmes Management from the University of Oxford. He is also an alumnus of Arthur Andersen (KPMG Nigeria), Wharton School and INSEAD Business School in addition to executive education from Harvard and Saïd Business Schools.
His professional career spans many years of executive experience. He left Citibank Nigeria as Assistant General Manager in 2002 to serve as an Executive Director at Trust Bank of Africa (Now Sterling Bank). His passion led him to the media industry in 2004, where he established Kachifo Limited, the publishers of Farafina. His latest engagement was to serve as the Managing Director of Pearson Education Publishing Limited Nigeria.
Ibraheem Babalola is a visionary leader and the CEO of ETAP, an auto-focused insurtech company in Nigeria. He is known for his deep understanding of the insurance industry and his passion for leveraging technology to drive innovation. With extensive experience in various sectors, including Financial Technology, PropTech, and Investment Banking, Ibraheem brings a wealth of knowledge to his role. He is recognized for launching successful startups, advising government entities and companies, and promoting entrepreneurship. Ibraheem’s dedication to delivering value to customers is reflected in his focus on gamified, driving pattern-based insurance to make insurance more accessible and tailored. His leadership style fosters innovation, collaboration, and customer-centricity, positioning ETAP as a market leader.
Dr. Ola Brown is the founding partner of Healthcare Capital Africa, a pan-African investment company known as ‘Healthcap,’ with a focus on creating a healthier world. She holds a medical degree, a Master’s degree in Finance and Economic Policy, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Finance, specializing in the relationship between digital currency and monetary policy. Dr. Brown co-founded Greentree Investment Company, an early-stage venture capital firm supporting African tech startups. She is an international speaker, TED fellow, and has received numerous awards and nominations for her work. Dr. Brown is actively involved in various organizations and networks, including leading the Health as a business group at the Nigerian Economics Summit Group and serving on the board of the professional women’s network in Lagos. She has also been recognized for her contributions to healthcare and finance, and in 2022, she was honored as a Member of the Federal Republic by the President of Nigeria.
Dr Ziyaad Mahomed is the former Associate Dean of E-learning, and Director of Executive Education at INCEIF University in Malaysia. He is currently Lead Researcher (Shariah) for the Centre of Excellence in Social Finance and Head of Online Programs at INCEIF. Dr Ziyaad has consulted to and advised financial institutions and regulators in Islamic finance, regulation, social finance, fintech and Islamic law for almost 25 years, in more than 20 countries and has trained over 12,000 participants internationally. He is currently a consultant to the World Bank for Islamic finance development in South-East Asia, and has led numerous consulting projects on policy and strategy for large financial institutions and governmental organisations in Islamic finance, sustainability, Sukuk, fintech and social finance advancement.
Dr Ziyaad serves as Chairman of several Shariah boards internationally, including HSBC Amanah (Malaysia), Tajbank (Nigeria), asset management and takaful companies and fintechs in Nigeria, Madives, Uzbekistan, the UK and South Africa. He holds a PhD and CIFP in Islamic Finance from INCEIF in Malaysia, an MBA from South Africa, a BA (Hons) in Business (Finance) from the UK, and certification in the Islamic sciences from South Africa and Jordan. Dr Ziyaad specialises in Shariah, Sustainability and Social Finance, Fintech and Islamic Capital Markets, with almost 100 publications in academic and professional output.
Oluwatomi Eromosele is a highly skilled development economist with a strong background in research and consulting. With over 10 years of experience, she specializes in economic development, financial inclusion, and employment creation. Holding a Doctorate degree from the University of Leeds, UK, she focuses on generating reliable market information to promote access to finance for all. Oluwatomi leads EFInA’s Access to Financial Services (A2F) surveys in Nigeria, which have become the go-to reference for financial inclusion data in the country. She works closely with the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) and other regulators, using data from the surveys to identify policy reform opportunities and support the development of financial products that meet consumers’ needs. Additionally, she extends her work to contribute to the achievement of the Sustainable Development Goals, with a focus on financial health, agricultural financing, and women’s economic empowerment. Oluwatomi’s expertise and contributions have led to her involvement in designing impactful programs such as the ILO’s ACCEL AFRICA Social Finance program and evaluating Nigeria’s National Employment Policy.
Michael J. McCord is a renowned expert in microinsurance, with extensive experience in developing and managing microinsurance products. He has held key positions such as controller of a U.S. commercial bank, CEO of a microfinance institution in Uganda, and regional director for microfinance programs in Africa with FINCA International. In 2000, he founded the MicroInsurance Centre, now known as the MicroInsurance Centre at Milliman, which is a global leader in microinsurance and risk management solutions. Michael is highly respected in the field and has contributed significantly to research, advocacy, and the development of microinsurance products for low-income clients. He has been actively involved in various organizations and initiatives, including the Microinsurance Network, Munich Re Foundation, Asia-Pacific Financial Forum, United Nations Capital Development Fund, Insurance Development Forum, and InsuResilience Global Partnership. Michael has worked in numerous countries and led consulting projects addressing risks faced by low-income populations. His recent work includes country diagnostic reports and summary reports to support inclusive insurance and risk finance interventions in Ecuador, Egypt, Ethiopia, Madagascar, Mozambique, Nepal, Dominican Republic, Tunisia, Comoros, and Senegal.
Jubril Abdullahi Salaudeen is a highly educated individual with a diverse background and extensive experience in finance and academia. He holds degrees in Accounting, Finance and Control, Business Administration, and Shariah, along with multiple postgraduate degrees in fields such as Economics, Management Informatics, Islamic Finance, and Development Finance. He has achieved various certifications from reputable institutions and has been actively involved in teaching roles at universities and business schools. In terms of his professional career, he has held managerial positions in sales at Promasidor and National Oil Downstream, worked as a manager trainee at the Islamic Bank of London, served as a GM at Security Print Nigeria, and currently holds the position of Executive Director at Citiserve Limited.
A Chartered Insurer with over 20 Years’ experience in the Nigerian Insurance market. He is a graduate of Insurance and qualified as Chartered Insurance practitioner in 2008. He holds a Masters degree in Managerial Psychology from University of Ibadan, Ibadan, Oyo State. He started his Insurance career as an Operations Officer at Allison Insurance Brokers in January, 1999. He was a Marketing Executive with Hallmark Assurance Plc (Now Consolidated Hallmark) in the year 2003 before joining Royal Exchange Plc in the same year. He spent over fourteen (14) years in Royal Exchange working in various units and departments. He was Manager, Yaba Branch between 2011 and 2017 before he became Head, Manufacturing and Conglomerate. He joined Noor Takaful Insurance Limited in March 2019.
Mohamud Mohamed Omar is a Islamic Finance practitioner with a solid academic background in Islamic Finance. Omar is a Certified Islamic Finance Executive from Ethica Institute of Islamic Finance (CIFE) from Dubai, Associate of Institute Insurance, Kenya ( AIIK) and also a Certified Public Accountant (CPA (K) finalist. He is currently perusing master’s in business administration from University Of East London , UK. Before joining Kenya Re, Omar has been working with First Community Bank Limited as an Assistant Manager Sharia Audit and Gulf African Bank as a Sharia Auditor ,the only two fully fledged Islamic banks in Kenya. He is the secretary to the Shariah Supervisory Board at Kenya Retakaful.
Imam Abdullahi Shuaib PhD is the Chief Executive Officer of Jaiz Charity and Development Foundation in Abuja. He has an extensive educational background, including a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree in Political Science from the University of Lagos and a Doctor of Philosophy in Islamic Social Finance from Loughborough University in the UK. He holds various certifications, such as CIBAFI Certified Islamic Banker and Certified Islamic Specialist in Shari’ah Auditing. With over 28 years of experience, including senior management positions in several organizations and multinationals, he has a strong expertise in Islamic finance, leadership, corporate governance, and conflict resolution. Additionally, Dr. Shuaib is actively involved in various professional and religious organizations, serving as Deputy Grand Imam of The Muslim Congress in Nigeria, Co-Chairman of the Nigeria Inter-religious Council (NIREC) Lagos State Chapter, and Deputy Chairman of the Association of Zakat and Waqf Operators in Nigeria (AZAWON), among others. He also holds non-Executive Director positions in several companies related to Islamic finance and insurance.
Zubairu Sulaiman Darazo is an accomplished Islamic Finance Professional with expertise in Insurance Underwriting, Insurance Regulation, Pension Fund Management, Budget/Planning, and General Administration. He currently holds two roles: Technical Assistant to the Deputy Commissioner for Insurance (Technical) and Head of Takaful Insurance Unit at the National Insurance Commission of Nigeria (NAICOM). With a background in BSc Economics and a Master’s Degree in Islamic Banking, Finance, and Management from the University of Gloucestershire, UK, he is pursuing a Ph.D. program in Islamic Banking and Finance at the International Islamic University Malaysia (IIUM). Mr. Darazo is associated with various prestigious institutions and has made significant contributions to the development of guidelines and regulations for Takaful and Microinsurance in Nigeria. He is a prolific writer, researcher, and has facilitated workshops and conferences on Islamic Economics and Finance.
Shadi Ghrawi is a seasoned fundraising, philanthropy, and partnerships expert, started his career with Greenpeace Mediterranean in Beirut, Lebanon, mobilizing a grassroot donor base of individuals to support local and global environmental causes. In 2011, he joined UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, based in the United Arab Emirates, to advance strategic partnerships with philanthropists, corporations, and foundations in the MENA region, to support humanitarian programmes for refugees and internally displaced persons (IDPs). Since 2016, Shadi has been leading the global roll-out of UNHCR’s Islamic Philanthropy programme, including the institutionalization of the flagship Refugee Zakat Fund, which to date has enabled UNHCR to assist more than 6 million beneficiaries with Zakat and Sadaqah contributions globally. In 2023, Shadi has been reassigned to Nairobi, Kenya, to work with the private sector partnerships division in Africa as a deputy regional manager.
Dr. Yeside Oyetayo is the Rector of the College. Before her appointment, she was a Lecturer and former Head, Department of Insurance at Lagos State University for almost 15. She was also a Divisional Manager at Guinea Insurance PLC from 1998 – 1999 (1 year), and a manager at International Standard Insurers (ISI) for 3 years. She holds a Ph.D. in Law from the University of Leicester, LLB, and Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.)in Sociology from Lagos State University. She also holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) in Business Administration and Management, General from the University of Lagos, and Master of Arts (M.A.) in Legal Studies from the University of Leicester. Dr. Oyetayo has published widely in local and international journals. She is also an Associate of Chartered Insurance Institute of London and Nigeria and a Certified Trainer of the Impact Insurance Facility of the International Labour Organisation (ILO).
ousif El Lazim Gamma is a seasoned professional in the insurance and risk management industry. His career began in 1991 as an underwriter at The National Reinsurance Company (Sudan), where he spent seven years in the Non-Marine Department. In 1998, he joined Greater Nile Petroleum Operating Company (GNPOC) as the head of the Risk and Insurance Unit, overseeing all insurance and risk management matters. Subsequently, he became the General Manager at Savanna Insurance Company in 2005, responsible for executive operations. In July 2009, Mr. Gamma joined Africa Re as a Senior Underwriter at the North East Africa and Middle East Region (Cairo Office). Initially managing the domestic markets of Egypt and Sudan, he later took on the responsibility of managing the Underwriting of Retakaful business after the establishment of Africa Retakaful. He has achieved significant milestones throughout his career, including promotions to Assistant Director Technical Operations and Acting Regional Director for North East Africa and Middle East Region (Cairo Office). As of January 15, 2021, he holds the prestigious position of Managing Director of Africa Retakaful and Africa Re Local Representative of Sudan Office. Mr. Gamma is well-educated, holding a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics (Honors) from the University of Khartoum, an MBA Diploma from the School of Business Administration at the University of Khartoum, an Associate Diploma from the Chartered Insurance Institute in London (ACII), and an MBA from the German University in Cairo (GUC). He is also actively involved in the insurance community, participating in seminars, workshops, and conferences and contributing to specialized insurance literature.
Moshood is the Group Chief Financial Officer of Lotus Capital Limited. He has over 15 years of financial and business management experience in financial sector and capital market. His areas of specialty include corporate strategies, financial advisory, investment portfolio management, treasury management, business restructuring, audit, tax management, financial performance measurement, Enterprise Risk Management and Business analytics.
At Lotus, he is responsible for overall medium to long term corporate, business and financial strategies. He has successfully developed and implemented various strategic turn-around innovative projects. He has previously worked as an accountant with a consulting & project management firm (Mc Coy Zalm Nigeria Ltd) where he was responsible for field projects management, business operations, financial management & reporting. He also worked with Access Bank Plc from where he joined Lotus Capital. Moshood is a Fellow Chartered Accountant (FCA) and he holds an MBA (Distinction) with specialization in Management. He is an alumnus of Lagos Business School and University of Lagos.
Mohammed Bashir-Yunusa is a highly experienced financial technology professional with over 12 years of expertise in deal structuring, mergers and acquisitions, corporate and retail finance, business strategy, digital transformation, and non-interest banking operations. Throughout his career, he has successfully managed high-level financial transactions across various sectors, including transportation, investment, e-commerce, agriculture, infrastructure, and renewable energy. Notably, he played a key role in pioneering the launch of The Alternative Bank, one of Nigeria’s fastest-growing non-interest banks, leveraging his extensive knowledge and understanding of the financial sector. Mohammed is recognized as an innovative disruptor, specializing in creating disruptive and innovative digital business models and solutions, such as credit-based e-commerce platforms and investment and payment apps. He holds a distinction in an accounting diploma program, a BSc (Hons) in Business Administration (Finance), an MSc in Strategic Planning, and executive qualifications, including a Postgraduate Diploma in Strategy and Innovation from Saïd Business School, University of Oxford. Currently, Mohammed serves as the Director of Innovations and Digital Business Solutions at The Alternative Bank, where he leads a team that is revolutionizing the financial technology sector. Beyond his professional endeavors, he is dedicated to promoting socioeconomic fairness by increasing employment rates and enhancing the social well-being of the unemployed in his community through innovative approaches.
Alhassan Abdulkarim is a highly accomplished professional with extensive experience in the banking industry. He is a member of prestigious organizations including the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria (CIBN), Institute of Credit Administrators (ICA), Nigeria Institute of Management (NIM), and Commodity Brokers Association of Nigeria (CBAN). With a Master’s Degree in Islamic Banking and Finance, a Master’s Degree in Business Administration with a specialization in Finance and Investment, and a Postgraduate Diploma in Management, Alhassan possesses a strong educational background. He has demonstrated expertise in product and services management, advanced credit skills, business evaluation, investment packaging, budgeting, team leadership, and general leadership. Currently, he plays a crucial role in facilitating strategic planning and implementation to drive business growth and profitability in the Northern region. With 23 years of executive and senior-level positions in various banks across Nigeria, Alhassan brings invaluable leadership, team management, and expertise in Islamic banking, product development, and structured finance. His exceptional skills and experience led to his appointment to the Board of Jaiz Bank. Throughout his career, he has gained broad experience in banking operations, commercial and corporate banking, credit packaging and financial analysis, international trade finance, as well as customer service and relationship management.
Ms Kekere-Ekun currently oversees the Business Development and Operations of the Lotus Group; and has 23 years’ experience that transverses Financial Strategy, Business Development, Islamic Finance, and Business Process Management. She is also a Non-Executive Director at Lotus Bank Limited.
Ms Kekere-Ekun previously worked at Guaranty Trust Bank’s Corporate Banking Group, where she conducted credit structuring, loan syndication and relationship management for large local Corporates and Multinationals. She also worked in the bank’s Treasury where she headed the ALM Department managing the Balance Sheet Structure and Liquidity to ensure adherence to all CBN treasury regulatory requirements. She also worked at Stanbic IBTC Bank as the Segment Manager for Islamic Banking, where she was responsible for developing strategies to promote business growth, customer acquisition, retention and profitability. Ms Kekere-Ekun is a Chartered Accountant, with a BSc degree in Accounting from the University of Lagos. She also has an MSc in Finance and Management from Cranfield School of Management UK. She is an alumnus of the Cambridge Islamic Finance Leadership Program and Harvard Kennedy School Executive Education Program.
Akeem Oyewale, an Arthur Anderson scholar, has over 20 years of extensive Investment Banking, Credit Marketing, Trade Finance, and Sustainable Finance. He managed the Stanbic IBTC Nigerian Equity Fund, Nigeria’s largest
mutual fund, and was responsible for the launch of the Stanbic IBTC Ethical Fund.
Akeem is a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Stockbrokers. He is an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria and the Chartered Institute of Bankers of Nigeria. He also holds various decorations and awards from various notable institutions. He holds a Doctorate Degree from Da Vinci School of Business Leadership, South Africa, an MBA from Manchester Business School, United Kingdom, and a B.Sc. (Hons) degree in Accounting from the University of Lagos. He is currently a member of the Security Exchange Commission (SEC) Financial Literacy Technical Committee.
Ummahani Ahmad Amin is the Managing Partner of The Metropolitan Law Firm, a prominent Abuja-based law firm specializing in Islamic banking and finance. She co-founded the firm in 2008 and has since advised corporations, government agencies, and regulators on various transactions, including corporate matters, securities, mergers and acquisitions, and project finance. Ummahani’s expertise in Islamic finance has been demonstrated through her involvement in landmark transactions such as Nigeria’s first corporate Sukuk issuance program by Family Homes Fund and the first Tier 1 Sukuk program by TAJ Bank Limited. Her contributions to promoting and educating others in the field have earned her recognition as an expert in Islamic finance and estate planning in Nigeria. Ummahani holds an LLM in Business and Commercial Law from Bayero University and has certifications in public-private partnerships (PPP) and negotiation skills. She is an active member of esteemed professional institutes and serves on the boards of several organizations, including the Nigerian Exchange Limited, One17 Capital Limited, E-Tech Solutions Limited, and Salam Takaful Insurance Limited.
Oluyombo Bammeke has over 30 years experience in the insurance industry as an insurance and reinsurance underwriter and also as an insurance and reinsurance broker. His area of interest includes Enterprise Risk Management, Alternate Risk Transfer and Reinsurance. He is presently the CEO of United African Insurance Brokers Ltd a Reinsurance broking firm based in Lagos with clients across West Africa. He holds a BSc degree in Insurance from the University of Lagos and an MSc degree in Insurance & Risk Management from Bayes Business School (formally CASS Business School). He is a Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute London, Associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria and an Associate of the Nigerian Council of Registered Insurance Brokers. He is a graduate of the Advance Management Program of the Lagos Business School.
Farhan Noor is an executive director at the Accounting and Auditing Organisation for Islamic Financial Institutions (AAOIFI), a standards-setting body for the global Islamic finance industry based in Bahrain. In his role, he oversees capacity building programs and is actively involved in standards development and implementation projects. He played a key role in developing the ethics standard ‘AAOIFI Code of Ethics for Islamic Finance Professionals’ and the governance standard ‘Institutional Framework for Implementation of Ethics.’ Prior to his current position, Farhan worked at a Takaful operator and later served as the Head of Islamic finance at a Bahrain-based advisory firm, where he provided consultancy services in Shari’ah-compliant product structuring, review of product documentation, research-based reports, and coordination with Shari’ah scholars. Farhan has authored a book chapter on Takaful and has extensive experience designing and delivering courses and workshops on Islamic banking, Takaful, capital markets, and ethics. He holds academic qualifications in computing and business management and is certified as an ethics and compliance expert with the ‘Leadership Professional in Ethics and Compliance (LPEC)’ certification from the Ethics and Compliance Initiative and the ‘Certified Corporate Ethics Manager (CCEM)’ certification from the Management and Strategy Institute.
Fatima is a highly accomplished professional with a diverse educational background and extensive experience in Accounting and finance. She holds multiple degrees, including an MBA from the University of Ilorin and a Master of Science in Finance from the University of London. With over a decade of experience in the Banking sector, she joined the National Insurance Commission (NAICOM) and has been involved in various areas such as Financial Analysis, Financial Reporting, Levy Assessment, and Revenue Assurance. Fatima’s contributions to the Insurance sector in Nigeria include active participation in working groups and committees. She holds memberships and certifications from professional bodies like ICAN, CITN, and CIPA. Currently serving as an Assistant Director in the Supervision Directorate at NAICOM, she plays a key role in revenue generation as the head of the Levy Unit. Beyond her professional pursuits, Fatima is passionate about research, especially in Islamic Finance, where she is pursuing a Doctoral degree. Her hobbies include reading and traveling, and she enjoys a happy married life with her loving family.
Prof. AbdulRazzaq AbdulMajeed Alaro is an esteemed scholar with multiple accolades and qualifications. He holds the position of Professor of Law and Shariah Consultant, and is also a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. With international certifications as an arbitrator, he is highly proficient in Islamic Law of Banking, Insurance, and Capital Market. He completed his LL.B with First Class honors from the Islamic University of Madina, Saudi Arabia, where he was the best graduating student. He holds an LL.M and Ph.D. with distinctions and specializes in Islamic Finance. Prof. Alaro has delivered an inaugural lecture and published in reputable journals. He is a member of prestigious advisory councils and has served as a consultant to various financial organizations. He has been invited to speak at several international conferences and won multiple awards for his outstanding contributions to academia and Islamic finance. Fluent in both English and Arabic, he is happily married and has children.
Mr. Ibrahim U. Shehu is the Managing Director/CEO of Jaiz Takaful Insurance Limited. With a 1991 degree from the University of Maiduguri, he embarked on his insurance career at NICON Insurance Corporation in Lagos in 1992. Over the years, he held various roles within the company, including working in the Life Department and opening branch offices in different locations. In 2016, he joined Noor Takaful Insurance, eventually becoming the Managing Director. Since April 2019, he has been serving as the Managing Director/CEO of Jaiz Takaful Insurance Limited. With 30 years of uninterrupted experience in insurance and Takaful, he is an Associate Member of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria (CIIN) and holds fellowships in other professional bodies related to insurance and finance. Mr. Shehu has attended numerous courses, trainings, and workshops both locally and internationally. He is married with children.
Bala Zakariyau is a professional insurance practitioner and has over forty-five years of experience in the insurance sector in Nigeria. Has served on Boards of more than 20 national and multinational institutions. He is a Chartered Insurer UK, Fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria, Fellow of Nigeria Institute of Management, Fellow of the Institute of Marketing and Fellow of the Institute of Directors. He is on the Governing Council of the Alumni Association of Lagos Business School. He was Past President of Chartered Insurance Institute of Nigeria.

He was also Chairman Presidential committee for the reform of Nigerian Insurance Industry, the committee’s report was instrumental to many positive changes to the insurance subsector in Nigeria. He is currently Managing Director at Dar Qitmeer, Smart Consultancy and Adjunct Professor at Hamdan bin Muhammed Smart University, School of Business and management. Mudasiru Atanda Kolawole Bada is currently known as the Chief Imam of Oluyole Estate Extension in South West Ring Road, Ibadan. He has a diverse educational background, having attended St. Paul’s School, Nguru, the Arabic Institute, Nguru, and Pitman’s Institute, London. He began his career as a Certified Public Accountant with the U.A.C. Group Textiles in Ibadan, and later moved to the Insurance Division of the same group, United Nigeria Insurance Company Limited, where he served as the Ibadan Branch Accounting Superintendent. He was invited to join an international insurance broking firm, Femi Johnson & Co. Limited (FIC), where he worked as the pioneer accountant and eventually became the firm’s pioneer Executive Director of Finance. Bada voluntarily retired from FIC after almost 30 years of service, leaving behind a legacy of integrity and professionalism. He declined prominent appointments from the presidency and a state government after retirement. Currently, he is engaged in research activities related to contemporary matters and has authored several seminar papers and journals. He is also a linguist. In 2016, his scholarship was recognized and honored by the International Chartered World Learned Society (ICWLS), and he was awarded the titles of Outstanding Chief Imam of the 21st Century, Life Fellow of ICWLS, and Grand Patron of the Society. He has also been the Reporting Actuary to four CPFA’s and the Pension Schemes of both NNPC and PenCom. Rotimi recently retired from Ernst and Young (EY) where he was the Partner leading both the Insurance Sector and Actuarial Services across West Africa. Rotimi is a Statistics graduate of the University of Ibadan where he was a University Scholar. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Actuaries UK, an Associate of the Society of Actuaries USA and an Alumni of the Lagos Business School (Chief Executive Programme). She was the CEO of Prudential Beneficial General Cameroon, the CRO and Chief Actuary for Prudential Beneficial Group spanning 3 countries. She also worked as the Senior Business development lead for Prudential Africa covering 8 African markets. Prior to Prudential, she worked for Old Mutual Nigeria and Deloitte UK in various actuarial roles covering pensions, investment and life assurance giving her experience in valuation, merger and acquisition transaction, audit and accounting for insurance companies and pension funds.
